Skagit Valley Alpacas expresses our sincere thanks and congratulations.
To Laura Coussens, Kissing Coussens Alpacas in Stanwood, Washington who recently purchased our foundation herd of female alpacas, including High Point Invincible's Brentina, High Point Absolute's Miss Liberty, SCA Peruvian Apollo's Pegasus, Snowmass Monarch's Melody and Miss Rose Blossom. We are very happy to see our "girls" go to such a dedicated and experienced breeder. We are sure that these females are going to produce outstanding cria for Kissin Coussens and we look forward to following their progeny in the future. Thanks again Laura for your confidence in our breeding program with the purchase of this package.

2009 shows
Our first three shows of 2009 were very successful. Starting out with Alpacapalooza was we took a third in a very competitive class of white juvenile males with High Point Satin Sensation. The topper of the weekend was our juvenile fawn female, High Point Ginger Rice who was awarded Champion Fawn Female and then went on to take the Judges Choice Award for the best all the Champion Huacaya Females. Needless to say we are very proud, especially since Ginger is sired by our own herdsire, High Point Rubicon. (Read more about Rubicon above)

Northwest Alpaca Showcase
After alpacapalooza we were off to the Northwest Alpaca Showcase where we came home with two blues, two Reserve Championships with Ginger Rice and Satin Sensation.

CABA Classic Show
Overall our best show. Two blues, again with Ginger Rice and Satin Sensation who both went on to take Reserve Championships in excellent competition. High Point Blue Chip moved up in the placings taking second place in a nice sized class of grey juvenile males.
